The extraordinary doesn’t always reveal itself at first glance; sometimes it appears in that second act, when everything changes.
The Accidental Birth of an Iconic Piece
There are days in the atelier that begin with a perfectly planned idea and end with something completely unexpected — a creation that decides to have a will of its own.
The Voilà bralette was born that way, from a twist of fate. A piece that refused to follow the script.
It all started with a simple design: two separate layers, lace on the outside and transparent black tulle underneath. A perfect balance between delicacy and structure.
As I usually do with my prototypes, I made it in my own size to test it — a habit that sometimes works against me when my body changes without notice.
When I finished and tried it on, came the surprise: the lace had no elasticity. Not a millimeter. The bralette was too small.
But I could never waste such exquisite lace. So I decided to improvise.
When Chance Finds the Right Hands
With scissors in hand — those loyal companions in every critical moment — I opened the front and added a metallic clasp. It not only solved the fitting issue but also introduced an unexpected visual detail.
Then came a new challenge: the inner layer no longer fit the new shape. The silhouette had completely changed.
And that’s when I made the decision that changed everything.
Instead of redoing the lining, I removed almost all of it, leaving only the elastic along the edges.
What many people don’t know is that every well-constructed lingerie piece has an internal “skeleton” — that system of hidden elastics that gives structure and support to the neckline, armholes, and underbust.
Once I exposed that inner structure, something magical happened. The bralette gained character. It became sensual, architectural, almost sculptural.

From Mistake to Star Piece
It was still a little tight, but that “flaw” created a natural push-up effect that was unexpectedly flattering.
What seemed like an error turned into its most distinctive feature.
The Perfect Name: Voilà
I had the bralette displayed on a mannequin when a friend came to visit. I told her the story, and as I showed her how the front opened with a theatrical gesture, I said: “Voilà!”
The name stayed instantly.
Because that’s exactly what it evokes — a surprise effect, a second moment of revelation, that play between what’s visible and what’s hidden, adding a touch of unexpected sensuality.
As a lover of French lingerie and its unmistakable elegance, I couldn’t think of a better name. Voilà. It says it all.
From Prototype to Phenomenon
The next day I had a market and brought the only prototype with me. It sold as soon as I set up my stand.
Before handing it over, I filmed a quick reel for Instagram, without expecting much — and to my surprise, it went viral (at least by my usual standards). Orders started coming in one after another.
But the most unexpected part came when several women who had just become mothers wrote to me.
They saw the design and immediately recognized it as the perfect nursing bralette — front opening, good support, and above all, that delicate lingerie touch that made them feel beautiful again.
A piece that blends practicality and sensuality in a moment of deep transformation.
The Stories That Weave Our Pieces
A few days later, during another market at the Jazztronic Festival, I barely had time to make a second sample.
A man approached, looking for a surprise gift for his partner, who was wandering around nearby. The sale was quick and secretive — so much that I completely forgot to mention the “surprise effect” of the design.
I can’t help but smile when I imagine the scene: not just the surprise of receiving the piece, but that second moment of discovery when wearing it for the first time.
If you’re reading this, dear couple… tell me how it went.
The Evolution of Voilà: Adaptability and Intelligent Design
Over time, Voilà kept evolving.
I removed the traditional back closure and replaced it with two fully adjustable straps, leaving the back completely open.
It wasn’t just an aesthetic choice — I wanted the piece to adapt to different body types.
Thanks to the front clasp, I could eliminate the back closure entirely, creating a cleaner and more versatile silhouette.
Two Versions, Two Personalities
Voilà Lace: when closed, the harness strap subtly shows through the neckline, hinting at what lies beneath. It pairs beautifully with the Kimera panty, both featuring adjustable straps, available in black lace and the elegant cherry red..

Voilà Mesh: this version is slightly more decorative, with a delicate elastic trim along the neckline that softens the transparency and adds texture. It comes with a minimalist thong : Lía that mirrors the same details, forming a harmonious and contemporary set.

The Beauty of Imperfection
This design constantly reminds me that perfection is sometimes less interesting than character.
With the right attitude, mistakes can turn into discoveries.
Just like in life, the most memorable pieces are often the ones born from unexpected turns.
How to Find Your Perfect Voilà Size
Thanks to its front clasp and adjustable back, Voilà easily adapts to different bodies:
-
If you usually wear size S, the Voilà S will likely fit you perfectly.
-
If you have a wider back and smaller cup, choose one size down.
-
If your back is smaller and your cup larger, go up one or two sizes.
